THE KITCHEN SINK - ALL MEDIUMS ONE PLACE

ADVERTISING - KA-CHING - AWARD WINNING - SONIC AD

I love managing a group through the creative process. It is a visionary melding of creative juices.  When the client sees a sketch turn into reality and loves it, I always feel like a baseball player who just hit a home run.

This was an AutoTrader.com page takeover.  Months in the making,

ADVERTISING - THE GOOD STUFF

After the CEO visited our design meeting he told me "the design process is the most fascinating and intense meeting I've seen".  It takes time to produce an open feedback environment.   Who better than the colleagues in your field to help craft fantastic ads.  It works and eventually they all love it!

You can view many of my campaigns.    http:ads.clientcommand.com.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

I utilized my portfolio design to quickly make a site for Sales.  I discovered they were making ad hoc decks with imagery from all different time periods.  This allowed us to keep things professional looking while choosing only current placements.

INTERACTIVE & PRINT BOOK

INTERACTIVE & PRINT BOOK

The client requested an interactive 'Playbook' that could be shared with their clients or printed,  The fun twist, he wanted it built in PowerPoint so he could make edits.   I will say my PowerPoint skills improved by 100 fold.   Scope grew to include all elements a dealer would need to understand the new digital retail landscape.  The final product was a 150 page book.

Below is a few example pages of the book.  This is not interactive.  Some content has been removed to protect proprietary information.

VIDEO - EVENTS

The finale to my year-long 'I heart event' was a giant success.   Check out the video!

VIDEO - PRE-ROLL

Shoestring budgets happen.  You would never know I grabbed the customer service representative with the best voice, bought $100 footage and used my video designer to make this.  Granted... could it be better and do I know it ?  Yes!  but with no time and no money it is spot on.   See the videoClick on small vehicle to play!

MOBILE DEVICES

In today's market mobile is king.  Especially, the Spanish market!  I've been directing a team of designers to think translation of their designs over all mediums to different demographics for years.

MOBILE DEVICES

In the last two days of consulting I learned of an immediate need for a lead generation form and no developers were available for the project.  I volunteered.  Perhaps not my greatest design, but worthy of showcasing when you have less than 16 hours.

SOCIAL - FB

I've been creating social ads for many few years.  The picture above showcases my direction, not my creations.   I am in full redesign mode of Capetown Diamond and Watch.  Website, social, logo... you name it I am redesign it.   I'd love to change everything today, but am holding off launching the full re brand until the new website is ready.  This does not mean we can't start with changing the look and feel of their social.  The "The Daily Watch" will grow into a blog/presence for the company.   See Facebook Site

TO PRINT OR NOT TO PRINT?

Digital has become so prevalent it seems hard to decide if print should be in the spend.  It really does depend on market and purpose.   I've seen great success at Client Command matching shoppers to sales using it.

One of my most successful campaigns was Hop In and Drive.  Available in branding colors, it was an instant success as dealerships loved using their brand color.

Momentary Lapse of Sanity?

Projects done with love make for special memories and art.  The Baseball team needs a banner and website! The school needs a special cover of the yearbook!   I get excited and say yes.  Granted, when I started melding multiple images together because everyone needs to look great I always have a moment where I think I've lost my mind.  When the unveiling happens and I see their faces, every late night was worth it.

PIXELS TO PAPER

Kerning, bleeding, pantones... OH MY!

I have an obsessive attention to detail.  It drives me nuts if pixels are out of place. This ensures 100% success in my print jobs.  I've produced posters, billboards, note cards, books, business cards, and merchandise.

BRANDING & LOGO DESIGN

Brand is so much more then a logo, name, website, or product. In fact, it's the thing that feels intangible that separates powerhouse and mediocre brands from each other.

I have designed logos and written guidelines to help strengthen a brand, ensure consistency and compliance.  Most importantly though, I have protected the integrity of how the brand will be impacted in many day to day decisions.  These decisions ensured dividends were gained in the brand's value.

Above is a logo design built for the launch of our new division.  These logos were used to not only help identify the teams for both internal and external clients, but brought an immediate unity to the employees.  Ad Ops logos helped define our identity, gave purpose and cohesion and a competitive advantage instantly.

It became almost comical how many department heads started coming to me asking for help branding their areas.

Here are some examples of a few projects we took on for these internal clients:

PRODUCT DESIGN

I get really excited to see my design on something tangible.

Service Plus, a new program about operational excellence, was about to launch when our company sales event took place in Las Vegas.  What a perfect opportunity to fully market it.  This was an opportunity to discuss program details and reinforced the message long after the conversation with merchandise.

Inside each water bottle was a scratch off.  Our attendance was record breaking.  It may have been the large screen TV but I'd like to think my design was a big part of it.
